Marta Segarra, researcher with the Centre Dona i Literatura and coordinator of the UNESCO Chair Women, Development and Cultures, has published the book L'habitació, la casa, el carrer / Room, House, Street. This publication is the result of a lecture that Marta Segarra gave at the CCCB with the same title, which referred to the public, private and intimate spaces that coexist in the city. By means of three literary illustrations, Virginia Woolf's room, Maria Mercè Marçal's house and Hélène Cixous's street, this book reflects on how, from a gender perspective, these three different spaces are in fact communicating vessels.
