Hispanic (LGT) Masculinities in Transition, edited by Rafael M. Mérida

Book

The objective of this volume is to investigate the cultural representations and intersections of masculinity and sexual minorities (lesbians, gays, and transgenders) in Spain between the passing of the Law of Social Dangerousness and Social Rehabilitation (1970) and the reform of the Penal Code (1995). The works gathered here interrelate the fields of politics and social change with artistic production by analyzing literary, filmic, and artistic works by artists from Spain and Latin America. Hispanic (LGT) Masculinities in Transition includes texts by the editor, Rafael M. Mérida Jiménez, and researchers such as Juan Vicente Aliaga, Dieter Ingenschay, Elena Madrigal, Alberto Mira and Gracia Trujillo, among others.
