The electronic edition of the letters of Rosalía de Castro, edited by Helena González Fernández (director of the Centre Dona i Literatura), María Xesús Lama (Universitat de Barcelona) and María do Cebreiro Rábade Villar (Universidade de Santiago de Compostela) was presented on February 24 in Santiago de Compostela. This first installment of Rosalía de Castro. Epistolario (2014) includes all the letters by the author that have been preserved, together with biographical annotations on the people mentioned in them. This open-access electronic edition updates and amends transcription errors included in previous editions of the letters, thus becoming the most authoritative edition to date. It also includes the original manuscripts when they have been preserved and invites new readings for a better understanding of the author through the biographical annotations. A second installment will include the letters addressed to Rosalía de Castro. The publication is a result of the partnership between the Consello da Cultura Galega and the Centre Dona i Literatura at the Universitat de Barcelona.
