Issue number 21 of Lectora. Revista de dones i textualitat, to be published in 2015, will be on "Noire and Feminine: Women Writers of Crime Novels on the Iberian Peninsula". Analysis will be focused on contemporary crime novels, paying special attention to those written by women, and in which the changes that have occured in the dialogue between sexualized relationships and power can be observed - as represented by the new models of masculinity and female power figures (police, judges). This dosser invites contributions that analyze discourse on violence against women and by women; the complex relationships, intersections and paradoxes caused by the incorporation of women into the state's power structure, analyzed through a feminist framework; the emergence of women writers in this genre within the social context, especially the changing gender relationships in Spain in the last twenty-five years. The coordinator of the issue is Elena Losada Soler, researcher with the Centre Dona i Literatura. The deadline for reception of articles is June 1, 2014.
