Fina Birulés and Rosa Rius Gatell, researchers in the Seminari Filosofia i Gènere, of the Consolidated Research Group (GRC) Creació i Pensament de les Dones, have edited the volume Lectoras de Simone Weil, published in the series Mujeres y culturas (Icaria, 2013). The volume is a space for reflection on the presence of Weilian thought in the work of women authors such as Hannah Arendt, María Zambrano, Jeanne Hersch, Ingeborg Bachmann, Elsa Morante, and Cristina Campo, among others. Further, the book proposes the reconsideration of the prevailing idea that Simone Weil was an isolated figure within the philosophical and political tradition, who was foreign to the canon previously established by philosophical and political theory. The volume is divided into three parts ("Pensar con toda el alma", "Palabras comestibles", "La verdad y la desgracia tienen necesidad de la misma atención"), which unite thought and reflection on the Weilian oeuvre. In addition to the editors, the contributors are: Emilia Bea, Adrià Chavarria, Francisco Fernández Buey, Giancarlo Gaeta, Elena Laurenzi, Àngela Lorena Fuster, Margherita Pieracci Harwell and Carmen Revilla Guzmán.
