Novel·la criminal escrita per dones
Elena Losada (Centre Dona i Literatura) coordinates the course "Novel·la criminal escrita per dones", which will feature the participation of novelist Rosa Ribas. The aim of the course is to analyze the works by women writers of crime fiction, from pioneers such as Alicia Giménez Bartlett and Maria Antònia Oliver, to the latest authors: Rosa Ribas, Teresa Solana and Carolina Solé, among others. These writers have changed gender stereotypes, they have created new power figures, they have constructed women as victims in a different way, and they have handed down to us a varied range of "evil women". In this context, Rosa Ribas occupies a prominent place as the creator of two very different worlds which are nonetheless linked to each other by the fact that their protagonists are two female detectives: Cornelia Weber-Tejedor, police captain in Frankfurt, and Ana Martín, a journalist in the Barcelona of the 1950s.
