El plaer de la lectura. Deu escriptores i les seves geografies
Coordinated by Rodrigo Andrés and Dolores Resano, from the Centre Dona i Literatura, the objective of the course El plaer de la lectura. Deu escriptores i les seves geografies is to analyze ten key women writers from around the world (United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, Brazil, Spain, the Arabian world, Eastern Europe). Each of the writers discussed will be analyzed from the perspective of her geography, understanding geography as a physical space and also a a psychological, mental, emotional, affective, literary, artistic, political, activist and intellectual space. The course will pay attention to the diversity of this literary production, in the specificity of local experiences and people as well as in the sphere of pluralism and universalist humanism that characterizes these ten writers and their magnificent works. The researchers from the Centre Dona i Literatura Cristina Alsina, Àngels Carabí, Isabel Clúa, Katarzyna Pazskiewicz, Dolores Resano and Andrea Ruthven, as well as Maria Grau Perejoan, Inés Ivorra Harrison, Mònica Rius (Universitat de Barcelona) and Beatriz Ferrús (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) will participate.
The course, comprised of ten two-hour sessions, has a cost of 140€; discounts are offered for members of the UB community and residents of Badalona (115 €). Consult all the information on prices and the registration procedure in the Àrea de Formació Complementària of the Universitat de Barcelona.
