Maria GRAU PEREJOAN is assistant professor in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures and English Studies at the University of Barcelona, researcher at ADHUC—Research Center for Theory, Gender, and Sexuality, member of the research project “Communitas/Immunitas: Relational Ontologies in Atlantic Anglophone Cultures of the 21st century” (PID2022-136904NB-I00) and partner in the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Doctoral Network “Understanding Latin American Challenges in the 21st Century” (LAC-EU). Her research focuses on Caribbean literature and literary translation, and in particular, contemporary Anglophone and Hispanophone Caribbean poetry and speculative poetry that advances decolonial and feminist futures. She is member of the editorial board for Lectora: Journal of Women and Textuality. 


Research interests: Postcolonial anglophone literature, contemporary Caribbean poetry, decolonial thought, feminism, island studies.
