Karmen Kovačević 

Karmen KOVAČEVIĆ is a phd candidate in Literature, theatre, film, music and cultural studies from the University of Zagreb. She holds a double BA and a double MA in Spanish Studies (University of Zadar) and in Russian Studies (University of Zadar). Throughout her academic career, she has been the recipient of numerous grants and has been able to carry out research stays at Universidad de Alcalá de Henares, Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Universidad de Huelva, and Moscow University for the Humanities. Her research interests are focused on the lives of women during Francoism, more precisely on female prisons and asylums during that period.
