Giulia Caruso is a PhD student in History of Political Thought at the Department of Political and Social Sciences, University of Catania, Italy. She works on Gender History and Critical Feminist Theory, with a particular focus on the relationship between inclusivity and the gender approach in institutional and political language. In her doctoral research, she investigates the semantic transformations from the publicity of the partisan women in Italy, passing through the political language of the Constituent women, to the new feminine subjectivisations. In this perspective, she analyses the languages of the practices of the feminist movements of the 1970s up to the linguistic coordinates of the evolution of Family Law that produce legal and institutional language.
