Elena Cortés Farrujia

Elena CORTÉS FARRUJIA is a predoctoral researcher at ADHUC Theory, Gender and Sexuality Research Center. Graduated with the Extraordinary Degree Award in English Studies at the University of La Laguna (2019), and completed the Master in Construction and Representation of Cultural Identities at the University of Barcelona (2021). Her research focuses on contemporary queer indigenous (Two-Spirit) literatures from North America. Her doctoral thesis, directed by Dr. Rodrigo Andrés González and Dr. Silvia Martínez Falquina, revolves around the representation and subversion of domestic spaces by Two-Spirit/queer indigenous authors from an intersectional perspective, interweaving decolonial and affective positions with the queer, waste and indigenous lines of study to question the ideal of the American home.
