Edgar STRAEHLE is a university professor at the Universitat de Barcelona and a researcher at the Seminar Philosophy and Gender / ADHUC— Research Centre for Theory, Gender, Sexuality at the University of Barcelona. Graduated in History, Philosophy and Anthropology at the University of Barcelona, with an MA in Advanced Philosophy Studies at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a PhD in Philosophy at the University of Barcelona with his Doctoral Dissertation “Hannah Arendt, una lectura desde la autoridad”. He works as a specialist at the Museum of History of Barcelona (MUHBA).
His research focuses on issues such as the historical reconsideration of political concepts, and he has specialised in the work of thinkers such as Hannah Arendt, Judith Butler, Claude Lefort, Linda Zerilli, Thomas Hobbes, Toni Negri and Jean-Luc Nancy. He has published research articles in various national and international journals and has also published the book La inquietud de la política. Claude Lefort (Gedisa, 2017).
