Ana González Navarro

Ana González Navarro is a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at Sapienza University of Rome. Her project “Reconstructing social memory through Moroccan women's writing: female prison literature between the 1970's and the 2010's”- RESOMFEM deals with prison writings by Moroccan women and their reconstruction of social memory from a feminist perspective. Part of this project will be developed at ADHUC research centre from the University of Barcelona. She also collaborates in the research projects RAFIKAT from the University of Seville and AlterMagreb from the Autonomous University of Madrid. Her research interests focus on contemporary Moroccan literature from a gender and postcolonial perspective, and on cultural expressions by women and feminist discourses in Arab contexts. Her research has been disseminated in national and international conferences and in publications such as “Las críticas marroquíes en el yermo: ¿nuevas herramientas para la teoría literaria?” (2021) or “Entre el culto a la feminidad y la reivindicación feminista: las revistas femeninas en Marruecos en la segunda mitad del siglo XX” (2024). She obtained her PhD in 2022 in Human Sciences, specialising in Arab and Islamic Studies, with Autonomous University of Madrid and she has worked as Assistant Professor at the University of Zaragoza.
