Vulnerability at the crossroads. Contemporary women thinkers and experiences in the healthcare care system

The Sección de Pensamento of the Consello da Cultura Galega organizes the symposium “A vulnerabilidade na encrucillada. Pensadoras contemporáneas e experiencias no ámbito sanitario”, with the participation of researchers in the fields of health and care of women, feminist theory and philosophy. The speeches will emphasize the fact that, despite the fact that our common condition of vulnerability could set the basis for a more just and less violent global community, it is necessary to account for the unequal distribution of precarity, that is, the fact that there are subjects, situation and groups that are more vulnerable than others.

The participants will consist of Fina Birulés and Josefina Goberna (ADHUC—Universitat de Barcelona), Elena Laurenzi (ADHUC—Università del Salento), Maria Xosé Agra (Universidade de Santiago de Compostela), and Gemma Cazorla and Silvia Costa (Universitat de Barcelona), among others.
