Memòria, responsabilitat i transmissió

What does it mean that the contemporary experience of time is in crisis? The Institut d'Humanitats, in colaboration with ADHUC, organizes the seminar "Memòria, responsabilitat i transmissió" given by Fina Birulés (Filosofia i Gènere - ADHUC). This course will reflexively approach some of the questions posed by this transformation of our temporality: the difficulty of establishing a new relationship with the past once the future has stopped fulfilling its role as a symbolic power of orientation in the present, the questions generated by the current relations between justice, history and public memory, or the transformations in the status of the figure of the testimony. A starting point for this reflection will be the hypothesis of the historian François Hartog on the end of the modern regime of historicity.
