The seminar "Literatura que fa història: dones, vides, ficcions", coordinated by Patrícia Martínez (Universitat de Barcelona) and Elena Losada (Research Center in Theory, Gender and Sexuality - ADHUC), is aimed at reflecting on the history of women through women’s writing. Hence, the literature written by women, understood as the product of the interdisciplinary dialogue between the artwork and the feminine self, is related to the literary, cultural and sociohistorical backgrounds that surround it. The participants will be, apart from the coordinators of the seminar, Helena González (director of the Research Center ADHUC), Núria Balada (executive director of Institut Català de les Dones), Helena Casas, Javier Laviña, Golda van der Meer, Montserrat Molina, María Milagros Rivera and Marisa Siguan (Universitat de Barcelona), Montserrat Gatell (Unversitat Oberta de Catalunya), Esmeralda Berbel and Empar Fernàndez (writers). Free attendance. Registrations must be sent at adhuc@ub.edu before 28 November 2016. Training activity acknowledged as part of the PhD programmes "Linguistic, Literary and Cultural Studies" and "Society and Culture: History, Anthropology, Art and Heritage".
