This First International symposium "La infància en femení: les nenes. Imatges i figures de la filiació", organized by Mariela Fargas Peñarrocha, Maria Dolors Molas Font and Teresa Viñolas Vidal (Tàcita Muta. Grup d'Estudis de Dones i Gènere a l'Antiguitat), aims at analyzing the ways in which gender shapes and constructs representations of childhood, in particular that of girls, and how these representations seek to determine their future role as women. The suggested areas of analysis include: Ancient History, Modern Times, Philosophy, Sociology and Literature.
