Homenatge a Simone de Beauvoir

The Consolidated Research Group GRC Creació i pensament de les dones is taking part in the "Homenatge a Simone de Beauvoir. En el 30 aniversari de la seva mort", coordinated by the Observatori Cultural de Gènere. The symposium aims at sharing aspects of de Beauvoir's legacy and to foster a debate about her contributions to feminism. Participants include Geneviève Fraisse (CNRS), Marta Segarra (CNRS and Universitat de Barcelona), Joana Masó, À. Lorena Fuster (Universitat de Barcelona) and M. Àngels Cabré (Observatori Cultural de Gènere). The program includes diverse cultural activities such as the collective artistic exhibition “J’accepte la grande aventure d’être moi”, curated by Maïs Jorba and Marta Darder, a dramatized reading of a selection of de Beauvoir's texts by Araceli Bruch and the screening of films related to the French thinker.
The activities will be in Catalan and French with simultaneous translation. Attendance is free.
