EXHIBITION
The exhibition is driven by an effort to reread the Historic Archive on the basis of gender issues and the visibility of the historical memory of women. It intends not only to introduce the archive within this perspective, but also to constitute a starting point for future work, to promote curiosity for the construction of historical knowledge based on equality, to define lines and paths to follow. The exhibition is an approach to the archive of the CRAI Biblioteca de Reserva through six specific thematic areas: Women's family life; Women in the book trade: professional empowerment; The ideological construction of the female body in the 17th century; Female religiosity and intellectual activity: autobiographies, translations and readings; Women, education and morality and Celestial heroines: the image of female holiness.
