Healthcare for Childbearing. Giving Birth in Times of Pandemic
In times of pandemic, one of the most complex consequences of coping is related to human bonds and how they develop in conditions of social, cultural, and emotional distancing. In this context, we are confronting not only a health crisis brought about by COVID-19, but also a humanitarian, relational, and care crisis, which dramatically affects pregnancy, birth, and upbringing today.
These and other issues will be discussed at the 2nd Seminar “Atención Sanitaria a la Salud Procreativa. Dar a luz en tiempos de pandemia” (Healthcare for Childbearing. Giving Birth in Times of Pandemic). This seminar will be chaired by Josefina Goberna Tricas and is coordinated by Neus Garriga, Ainoa Biurrun, and Pia Rodríguez. This activity belongs to the research project "Vulnerability in Women's Philosophical Thought" (PGC2018-094463-B-100).
The event will be broadcast live in the afternoons of November 11 and 18, and will include the participation of both national and international experts in the fields of Health, Law, and Philosophy. Please send us an e-mail for online registration and free access at musas@ub.edu.
