The II Symposium Genders and languages is about to be held. In a research workshop format and coordinated by Ana González Navarro (Universitat Autónoma de Madrid), Roger Ferran i Baños (Universitat de Barcelona), Abdallah Tagourramt El Kbaich (Universitat de Barcelona), and Andrea Villar del Valle (ADHUC-Universitat de Barcelona), the symposium will address the ongoing work of the project "Gender(s) and Language(s) in Contemporary Arabity", as well as the most recent contributions to its lines of research.
The activity includes a round table on inclusive language in translation and a thesis workshop with the participation of pre-doctoral researchers of the project and invited respondents. In the afternoon, the symposium incorporates a training session on publications, given by the Centre de Recursos per a l'Aprenentatge i la Investigació (CRAI-UB), and ends with a round table on the postdoctoral stage.
Participants include Nesrin Karavar (ADHUC-University of Barcelona); Magda Castells and Èlia Romo-Terol (University of Barcelona); Joan Ferrarons (Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona); and Itzea Goikolea-Amiano (SOAS-University of London).
