Epistemoloxía das emocións desde o xénero e a cultura popular
What is the most appropriate epistemological framework for a politics of emotions today? How can theories of gender and sexuality contribute to it? What are the challenges that open up when applying these theoretical perspectives to the analysis of contemporary cultural production and, in particular, of popular culture? What are the conceptual problems that arise? These are some of the questions that will be explored at the workshop "Epistemoloxía das emocións desde o xénero e a cultura popular", coordinated by Helena González (Centre Dona i Literatura) and Dolores Vilavedra (Universidade de Santiago de Compostela). Participants include Ivan Garcia (Universitat de Barcelona), Katarzyna Moszczynska-Dürst (Uniwersytet Warszawski), Montserrat Pena Presas (Universidade de Santiago de Compostela) and Saleta de Salvador Agra (Universidade de Vigo). The workshop is part of the research project "Theory of Emotions and Gender in Twenty-First Century Popular Culture". Attendance by invitation.
