Cine, cuerpos y exceso en la narrativa de Hollywood

Margarita Uribe Viveros, professor at the Institución Universitaria de Envigado in Colombia and specialist in Hollywood melodrama, will give a seminar entitled "Cine, cuerpos y exceso en la narrativa de Hollywood", coordinated by Katarzyna Paszkiewicz (ADHUC-UB). This seminar aims at reflecting on the relations established between cinema, the feminine body, and excess in the narrative cinema produced in Hollywood through the changes in the conceptualization of the body, which imply the experience of modernity. This act is part of the activities organized by two research projects, "Víctimas y agresoras. Representaciones de la violencia en la narrativa criminal escrita por mujeres" (VANACEM) and "Teoría de las emociones y el género en la cultura popular del siglo XXI". Free attendance.
