Remedios Perni (Universidad de Murcia), visiting scholar at the Centre Dona i Literatura, is a specialist in Shakespeare's work. Her research analyzes the writer's contributions in theatre, cinema and contemporary photography, and she focuses specifically on Ophelia. In the symposium entitled "Angélica Liddell y William Shakespeare: el género trágico", Perni will offer an approach to Angélica Liddell's Shakespearian rewritings from a gender perspective. This activity is co-organized with the MA in Construction and Representation of Cultural Identities and is linked to the research project "Theory of emotions and gender in twenty-first century popular culture".
