20 years of Tàcita Muta

On Friday, April 20, 2018, it will take place the celebration event of the 20th anniversary of Tàcita Muta–Grup d'Estudis de Dones i Gènere a l'Antiguitat, one of the three ADHUC founder groups. Tàcita Muta was created on December 1998 by teachers and students of the University of Barcelona and, since then, it has worked in order to encourage, undertake and spread the knowledge and the research on women and gender relationships in the ancient world.
On the event, which will be presented by the director of ADHUC, Helena González, the actress Teresa Matas will read Maria Aurèlia Capmany's Cartes impertinents, and it will count with the lectures "Celebrem les festes amb Jeanne Hersch", by Rosa Rius, and "Estudis de gènere i estudis animals: què tenen en comú?", by Marta Segarra. Furthermore, Elena Almirall, Maria Dolors Molas and David Muñoz, from Tàcita Muta, will also speak. Finally, Aroa Santiago will do the closure of the event, which will finish with a celebration toast.
