Joana Masó, researcher at d'ADHUC, coordinates the course  Myths and Feminism. Bodies, Sexualities, Democracies which will display how the feminist legacy has transformed our relationship with the past and with history. This transformation of the world has been carried out by feminists on a massive scale since the 1960s, when they came closer to the matrix of Western mythology through leading figures such as Antigone, Medea, Clytenmestra, Echo, Europe or Demeter, among others. Contesting the myths for their status of patriarchal heritage and of natural archive of the Psychoanalysis, in the mythologic texts feminism found bodies and existences which questioned the natural and social limits of the family, maternity, sexuality, and love, as well as the practice of politics, and who can be today the subjects of democracy and of the common world.
