Adelina Patti vista por Galdós

Margot Versteeg, a specialist in turn of the century Spanish literature and gender studies, will give the lecture "Adelina Patti vista por Galdós". Versteeg is currently preparing two monographs: Postcolonial Proposals: Emilia Pardo Bazan's Theatrical Vision of a New Spain, and Divas and Chorus Girls, A Study of Representations of Female Performers in 19th and Early 20th Century Spain. The lecture is coorganized by the Centre Dona i Literatura, the research group Redes Transatlánticas: relaciones intelectuales y literarias and the UAB and the research project Las primeras escritoras y artistas profesionales, funded by the Instituto Franklin.
