PREREGISTRATION AND PROVISIONAL ADMISSION
The Master in Pure and Applied Logic is designed specifically for graduates in mathematics, computer science and theoretical philosophy. Graduates in related fields, such as physics or linguistics, may also be considered for admission.
THE PREREGISTRATION
FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2014-16
IS OPEN
|
In order to preregister and ask for provisional admission, the candidates should write to the Master's coordinator Prof. Ramon Jansana (preferably by e-mail: jansanaub.edu), including the following information:
- An academic curriculum vitae.
- The list of passed courses, with specification of the school and the grade obtained.
- A short statement about the reasons for wanting to enter this Master, about whether they want to specialise somehow, and any other information they may think may be relevant.
- Optionally, they can include the names, affiliation and e-mail address of two scholars who know the candidate and can give references.
Should it be necessary to attach documents to the e-mail message, PDF is the format of choice.
The provisional admission ensures the candidate meets the academic demands, and is not related to the administrative requirements, which should be fulfilled by the candidates at the moment of official registration. Below you can read about the legal requirements for admission, the conditions for admitting candidates with a foreign degree, etc.
At the request of the admitted candidates, the Committee will send them a formal admission letter in order to facilitate the applications for grants, scholarships or other financial aids necessary to guarantee their stay in Barcelona to follow the Master's courses.
