Blue Careers Day 2025: connect with your professional future in the blue economy
The blue economy contributes 1.5% of the gross domestic product of the European Union and provides almost 2.5% of the total jobs in this region. In addition to fishing, tourism, port activities and maritime transport, which are well-established sectors within the blue economy, we must also add emerging sectors such as marine renewable energies, the use of the seabed for critical infrastructures and marine biotechnology, among others.
Bringing students and young professionals closer to leading companies in the sustainable blue economy is the objective of the Blue Careers Day 2025 job fair. The day includes networking sessions, quick interviews and activities designed to facilitate contact between students and companies and entities related to marine energies, naval engineering, environmental consulting, underwater robotics, maritime infrastructures and related sectors.
The proposal is promoted by the UB Chair of Sustainable Blue Economy and is aimed at students in the last year of a university degree or master's or doctorate, as well as people who have graduated in the last five years, with training and professional interests in the marine world. For participants, an online preparatory session has also been planned from Barcelona Activa that will be held on March 19th prior to Blue Careers Day.
Registration is open and can be done online.
