Venue

The satellites events and VSAC will take place at the COSMOCAIXA (Science Museum) and ECVP will be in the Auditori of Barcelona which is one of the two main concert halls in the city.

The CosmoCaixa (venue for VSAC and the rest of satellites events)

CosmoCaixa is a Science Museum which holds both permanent and temporary exhibitions, a planetarium and a living Amazonian forest. The exhibitions include interactive areas and workshops for kids and families. This museum is engaged in science outreach activities and organizes several conferences and dissemination activities. It was awarded as the 2006 European Museum of the Year.

The center has several fully equipped conference rooms. The largest one, the Auditorium, has capacity for 320 attendees. It is placed in a modernist building which was remodeled in 2004. All of VSAC and ECVP Satellites' assistants will have access to the Science Museum exhibitions/facilities on the 26th-28th of August.

Av. Tibidabo (800 metres from CosmoCaixa) > METRO L7 to Plaça Catalunya > Metro L1 (red line) from  Plaça Catalunya to Marina stop 

The Auditorium (venue for ECVP)

The Conference will take place at the Auditori of Barcelona which is one of the two main concert halls in the city.

Three halls will be available for the ECVP conference: the Pau Casals Hall (the main concert hall), the Oriol Martorell Hall and the Tete Montoliu Hall. The plenary lectures will take place in the Pau Casals Hall. Plenty of space for posters will be also available.

It will take place on the 30th of August at the nearby ‘Poblenou Communication Campus of the UPF’.
