Overview
The project pursues the strengthen of the existing collaboration between the research groups of UAB and UB to promote new developments and applications in the field of electrochemical (bio)sensors and (bio)analytical systems as an alternative to the prevailing paradigm of centralized laboratories. Considering our previous experiences, the emerging research on sensors and the social demand, we have selected four characteristic application areas that are detailed below. Thus, we can propose the following general objective:
The project aims to integrate the previous developments of the coordinated groups in (bio)sensors and (bio)analytical systems with newly emerging technologies in order to apply them to four selected analytical fields of high social and economic concern: i) food authentication, ii) environmental monitoring of contaminants, iii) border control of drugs of abuse and explosives and iv) healthcare and sport performance monitoring.
