I am a biologist specialized in genetics and bioinformatics and my main research interests are population genomics, evolution and adaptation.
My overall goal is to understand how genomes evolve using large-scale data. In particular, I am interested in understanding the genetic basis of adaptation and in deciphering the functionality of long non-coding genes, as well as their role in genome evolution and adaptation. To do so, I use both an evolutionary perspective that provides information of ancient events and a population perspective that provides information about more recent events.
