Hope, perseverance, creativity and commitment are the basic guidelines of the research carried out every day by more than 5000 researchers from the University of Barcelona and are also the core values highlighted in the video We're Research, a short documentary driven by the vice-rectorate for Research, Innovation and Transfer to open the doors of the world of science and research at the University of Barcelona to the society in general. This production reflects different stages within the life of a professional investigator; moreover it also makes a special emphasis on the importance of basic research and knowledge transfer to promote the progress of social welfare, economic and cultural.

We're Research is an invitation to discover how university research is a strategic element to meet the demands of a constantly changing society and to improve the quality of life of citizens. Using an audiovisual portrait of a group of experts from different fields of research at the University of Barcelona, ​​We're Research reminds us of the effort to make scientific research an engine of social, economic and cultural, to awaken vocations in the younger generations, and ultimately, to help forge a more trained, responsive and accountable to the challenges of a globalized world.
