The magazine for Molecular Neurobiology researchers at the University of Barcelona (UB) and the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia in collaboration with members of the Institute of Neuropathology IDIBELL-Hospital Universitari de Bellvitge, the CIBERNED and the Center for Molecular Biology in Madrid; have been completed and reported to our nervous system sends, naturally, a protective response in an attempt to suppress the progression of Alzheimer's, which contributes to the fact that patients have no memory deficits in the early stage of the disease.

For those not familiar, Alzheimer's is a neurodegenerative disease that most often affects the population over 65 years and is characterized by a gradual loss of memory and other mental functions. They attributed two causes: the presence of a plate-shaped added mainly formed by a compound known as beta-amyloid peptid; and moreover an accumulation of hiperfosoforilada form of tau protein, producing small balls inside the affected neurons.
