Being healthy is the most important determinant of $Being healthy is the most important determinant of our wellbeing, and health differences in adult and old age might be determined by circumstances earlier in life. The ageing of the population is producing changes among the elderly too, with the fraction of the elderly most at risk of disability growing faster. Equally important, the capacity of the traditional pool of formal and informal caregivers is decreasing compared to these rising health needs. To improve the quality over the course of our increasingly longer lives, governments should work towards universal health coverage and increase spending on healthcare and long-term care services that respond to the needs of an ageing population, while encouraging a healthier individual behavioral change and reducing socioeconomic and other inequalities Within SUSTAINWELL, we are creating micro based indicators which can help to monitor the sustainability and adequacy of all welfare state transfers including health care systems in face of ageing. #10daysofSDGs$
