PhD in Philosophy from the University of Barcelona
David Gràcia holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Barcelona, as well as a degree in Cultural Anthropology from the same university. The main topic of his doctoral thesis, defended in 2015, focuses on the processes of conformism and depoliticization in our global era, with special attention on the uses and conceptions of space.
He is a member of Fundació Espai en Blanc, and in this framework has collaborated in several projects focused on thinking the political of today, as well as coordinating and preparing the last numbers of its journal (Edicions Bellaterra).
He is currently a professor in Aesthetics in the degree of Arts and Design of the Escola Massana (linked to the Autonomous University of Barcelona). Several of his publications in articles or chapters of books have focused on current political thought and action, on cities and spaces, and on aesthetic matters.
