The seventh edition of the Vilapensa Festival will take place from 11 to 25 April 2024. Lorena Fuster, Teresa Hoogeveen and Hypatia Pétriz, researchers of the Seminari Filosofia i Gènere and ADHUC—Centre de Teoria, Gènere, Sexualitat, will participate in the round table L’alteritat des del pensament i l’acció feministes.

The Vilapensa 2024 programme is dedicated to ‘The Others’. The round table L’alteritat des del pensament i l’acció feministes proposes a three-way conversation on otherness, specifically in relation to the women’s liberation movement of the 20th century in various parts of Europe. In this context, the experience of relating to each other in different ways and the explosion of creativity led feminists to elaborate complex, original and funny thoughts about this topic. Starting from a framework of thought on otherness and imagination, we will rethink women’s practices of consciousness-raising and collective writing as paradigmatic examples of this encounter with the other.

The round table will take place on 17 April at 7 p.m. at the Vinseum auditorium in Vilafranca del Penedès. It will be broadcasted online and on Penedès Televisió. To attend, it is possible to book tickets using this link.
