The IESDB (Iberian Evaporite Structures DataBase) is an interactive atlas of evaporite structures in the Iberian Peninsula, sourced from six different databases and more than 1,500 published and unpublished references. It includes more than 450 information fields and 8 figures for each of the 150 evaporite structures inventoried and their surrounding rocks. [link]

GENERIC DATA – DATASET #1
Generic information of the evaporite structures indexed in the IESDB: geological setting, structural geology and stratigraphy of the evaporite units and their surrounding rocks.
MINING DATA – DATASET #2
Detailed information about the historical and active mining exploitations related to the structures indexed in the IESDB: location and ID of exploitations, names of companies that own the mining concessions and mining products.
WELL AND SEISMIC DATA – DATASET #3
Detailed information of wells and seismic lines that record the sub-surface of the evaporite structures indexed in the IESDB: ID, name, length and year of acquisition of seismic profiles, and borehole name, company and targets of execution. Availability of SEG-Y format data is specified for each seismic profile.
GEOGRAPHIC DATA – DATASET #4
Detailed geographical information (EPSG:4326 – WGS 84) of the evaporite structures indexed in the IESDB and the seismic lines and wells included in the Dataset #3 – Well+Seismic Data.
QUANTITATIVE DATA – DATASET #5
Detailed compilation of the geometry and event chronology of the evaporite structures indexed in the IESDB: outcropping area, width, length and thickness of the evaporite units together with their age of deformation.
REFERENCE DATA – DATASET #6
Detailed information of the references that address the evaporite structures and surrounding rocks indexed in the IESDB: scientific articles, conference abstracts, books and book chapters, PhD thesis and unpublished industry reports, categorized according to their main knowledge area.
IMAGE DATA – DATASET #7
Figures of the evaporite structures indexed in the IESDB: those corresponding to the Geological map, Stratigraphy and Other maps #1 and #2 are already published figures (referenced in the Dataset #6 – Reference Data). Rightsholders copyright permissions have been obtained for all the figures reproduced in the IESDB webapge.
