Two UB School of Economics PhD Students awarded with SEBAP Mobility Grants
Marta Curull and Julia McGee, PhD students at the UB School of Economics, have been awarded grants by the Barcelona Economic Society Amics del País (SEBAP).
The grant provides €4,200 in funding for a visiting period at a foreign institution. In this case, the students have chosen Bocconi University and Université du Québec. The award ceremony took place at the Saló de Cent of the Barcelona City Hall on March 12, 2024.
Marta Curull: Marta joined the AXA Research Lab on Gender Equality, where she is working on the final chapter of her PhD, studying the effects of conciliation public policies from local governments on gender inequality.
Julia McGee: Julia will study at Université du Québec the impact of the expansion of urban tourism and gentrification on access to goods and services for low-income and vulnerable socioeconomic groups. She will estimate the impact of gentrification on access to consumption amenities in Barcelona.
