University of Barcelona, within the best 50 on scientific productivity in the world

The University of Barcelona holds the 49th world position and it is the only one at a state level which appears to be within the 50 best universities regarding scientific productivity, according to URAP 2015-2016 (University Ranking by Academic Performance), a list made by the Middle East Technical University (METU) in Turkey, which evaluates the performance of 2.000 universities worldwide. Abu Mukhina Saidov, Uzbek student of the Modul University in Vienna, Chloe Chouraqui, French student at the University of Poitiers, Elena Maestrini, Valentina Gallo and Lucrezia Borghi, Italian students of the University of Florence, who made an Erasmus exchange at the Faculty of Economics and Business tragically died in the Freginals accident.
