Last week to apply to UB School of Economics Summer School on Economics of Education
There is just one week left to apply to UB School of Economics Summer School on ‘The Economics of Education: Analyzing the Effects of Programmes and Policies’. It will take place at the Universitat de Barcelona Faculty of Economics and Business from 3rd to 7th July, 2017. The fourth edition of the Summer School aims to provide students with a set of tools to address current challenges in the area of the analysis and evaluation of different elements of the educational system. These tools cover both theoretical and methodological issues at the knowledge frontier of this field of study.
Participants can choose to attend one or two courses. The first course, given by Sandra McNally, a Professor of Economics at the University of Surrey and a Director of the Centre for Vocational Education Research at the London School of Economics will explore human capital investment decisions. In the second course, Álvaro Choi de Mendizábal, an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics of the University of Barcelona and a researcher at the Barcelona Institute of Economics (IEB) will introduce the participants to the use of large-scale international assessments (LSIA).
