Faculty of Economics and Business at the UB ranked one of the best for Social Sciences & Management
The Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Barcelona has a reputation of being one of the best in the area of Social Sciences & Management. The QS World University Rankings by Subject 2019 has once again confirmed this status. The UB has been ranked among the top 5 universities in Spain for this area.
The Social Sciences & Management area covers subjects such as Accounting & Finance, Economics & Econometrics, Sociology, and Statistics & Operational Research for which the UB has been ranked among the top 5 universities in Spain, and Business & Management Studies for which it has been ranked among the top 10 universities.
The Faculty of Economics and Business also stands out as the 62nd best university to follow studies in the area of Social Sciences & Management in Europe, and the 152nd best university in the world for this area.
The QS World University Rankings by Subject ranks the world’s top universities in individual subject areas, covering 48 subjects. The rankings aim to help prospective students identify the world’s leading schools in their chosen field in response to high demand for subject-level comparisons.
Each of the subject rankings is compiled using global surveys of academics and employers which assess institutions’ international reputation, and indicators which assess research impact, sourced from Elsevier’s Scopus database. These components are combined to produce the results for each of the subject rankings, with weightings adapted for each discipline.
