Catalonia’s Statistics Day with Manuel Arellano at the Faculty of Economics and Business
Statistics Day is an annual gathering aimed at individuals interested in statistics and organized by the Catalan Society of Statistics. It is a day where various topics related to statistics are discussed, and the location changes each year. This time, it is being held at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEE) of the University of Barcelona and features Manuel Arellano as a speaker.
Arellano is a prestigious econometrician who graduated from FEE and was a professor there before moving to the London School of Economics, where he earned his doctorate. He currently works at the Center for Monetary and Financial Studies (CEMFI), a leading institution in research and postgraduate education in economics and finance in Europe. He has recently been awarded the National Research Award Pascual Madoz in the area of Law and Economic and Social Sciences for his contributions to the field of econometrics.
