Call for papers open for the Barcelona Workshop on Regional and Urban Economics and JRC Regional Modelling Workshop
The Regional Quantitative Analysis (AQR-IREA) research group at the UB School of Economics invites the submission of papers for presentation at the 2019 Barcelona Workshop on Regional and Urban Economics and VII JRC Regional Modelling Workshop “Regional economic modelling and policy impact assessment”.
The workshop will focus on economic modelling, regional and territorial analysis and the assessment of the spatial impact of policies. Both methodological and empirical contributions will be welcomed. Studies based on Computable General Equilibrium and Macroeconometrics models will be preferred, although other approaches might as well be considered.
Papers should be sent to AQR-IREA before September 6th, 2019. Extended abstracts or incomplete drafts will also be considered, but full papers will be favoured.
The event is organised by the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission and the AQR-IREA research group of the University of Barcelona. The workshop will be held at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Barcelona on October 24th-25th, 2019.
The keynote speakers will be Román Arjona, Chief Economist at the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation of the European Commission, and Alexander Lembcke, Economist at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The organisers will accommodate around 8-10 papers, which will be presented in plenary sessions that will complement the keynote speakers’ presentations.
Deadline for papers submission: September 6th, 2019. More information HERE.
