Department of Economics is hiring an Assistant Professor in the field of Public Economics
The Department of Economics at the University of Barcelona is hiring an Assistant Professor with special interest in Public Economics to join the Faculty of Economics and Business in September 2019. Applicants are expected to show outstanding commitment to research and must be in possession of the corresponding favorable governmental accreditation.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach in the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, to develop independent research programmes achieving international recognition, and to be involved in different research activities. There Assistant Professor will also have the opportunity to carry out research activities in the framework of the Barcelona Institute of Economics (IEB), whose goals are to promote research excellence in economics, to disseminate its results to society, and to contribute to the debate and decision-making process in economic policy.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview. Based on the interviews, selected candidates will be invited to visit the Department of Economics in April/May.
