University of Barcelona continues upward trend in QS World University Rankings
The University of Barcelona has again improved its position in the QS World University Rankings. Our institution climbed four places up to 156th in the 2018 edition of the ranking from its previous position of 160th in 2017 of over 950 of the best universities in the world. The University of Barcelona came 64th in Europe, jumping up two places from the 66th place last year. Also, it has again been ranked the best university in Spain.
This year’s results are just another proof of Barcelona’s continued upward trend in international league tables. In 2017, the university jumped six places, up from 166th to 160th in the QS World University Rankings. At European level, it climbed seven places in that same year, up from 73rd to 66th, while it was already the top university in Spain. Since 2014, the University of Barcelona has moved from number 178 to 156.
Considering there are 26.000 universities in the world, the UB is listed in the 1% of the top university institutions. Regarding the indicators, the University of Barcelona stands out in academic reputation, where it gets the 82nd worldwide position, and in graduate employability, where it gets the 170th position.
