UB to host 14th Ernest Lluch Economics Seminar on GIS Analysis for Applied Economics
The Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Barcelona will host the 14th Ernest Lluch Economics Seminar on January 23rd, 2017, at 12:00. The session, entitled “The view from above: GIS Analysis for Applied Economics”, will be led by Juan Carlos Muñoz Mora, Post-Doctoral Research Fellow of the Department of Economics and Management of the Pompeu Fabra University. He will be joined by Joan-Ramon Borrell, Associate Professor of Economics and Director of the Master in Economics, Regulation and Competition in Public Services of the University of Barcelona, who will deliver the introduction speech. The seminar will focus on the use of Big Data in Geography in relation to the Economy and how neighbourhoods with inequalities and poverty can be analysed through geo-technology.
