2017 ERC Consolidator Grant – Call for Applications
The European Research Council (ERC) has published the 2017 Consolidator Grant call. These grants are designed to support excellent Principal Investigators (PI) at the career stage at which they may still be consolidating their own independent research team or programme. Applicant Principal Investigators must demonstrate the ground-breaking nature, ambition and feasibility of their scientific proposal. Research must be conducted in a public or private research organisation located in one of the EU Member States or Associated Countries. The funding is provided for up to five years. It is expected that this call with a budget of €575 million, worth up to €2 million per grant, will fund approximately 320 researchers.
