The PsychoContext project, funded by the European Commission, was a three-year initiative to create synergies between different stakeholders in the field of mental health. The objective of this project was to offer a bottom-up, source-embedded appreciation of the need to always seek to contextualise mental health interventions and the professional and institutional barriers to this process at the European level, using participatory action research methods with service users, their relatives and practitioners of psychosocial services as well as civil society groups. This allowed us to have an ecological approach while ensuring direct dissemination of the results. The project was implemented integrating information technologies with face to face interviews, focus groups and continuing professional development workshops.
