Information for the student – Citizenship and Human Rights: Ethics and Politics
Placements
Students of the master's degree in Citizenship and Human Rights: Ethics and Politics can carry out curricular professional practices if they enroll in the subject Practices in Institutions.
This course has a value of 15 ECTS. Interships consist of completing a total of 150 hours in an institution or company, carrying out tasks related to the content of the master's degree. The student can choose the place to do the internship, either by opting for one of the offers that the master's degree offers within the companies or entitties with which an agreement has been signed, or by proposing the place where they would like to take them to term.
Carrying out internships is an excellent complement to the theoretical content of the master's degree and allows specialization in one of the fields of work chosen for the internship.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Internships consist of completing a total of 150 hours in an institution or company carrying out tasks related to the master's content.
A high level of Catalan or Spanish is considered necessary to register for external internships. Knowledge of English will be considered a merit.
The student has school insurance that covers him against any incident during the development of the internship. Those under the age of 28 have compulsory school insurance included in their registration; on the other hand, students aged 28 and over must formalize the voluntary insurance policy before the start of the agreement, either when they register or at a time before the start of the internship.
Internships are usually unpaid. Exceptionally, some company/institution makes some financial compensation for the work carried out.
You cannot have any contractual relationship with the company or institution where the internship takes place, except in duly justified and authorized cases. In case of authorization, neither the time nor the place where the insternship takes place can coincide with those of your employment contract.
Internships CANNOT begin before the student has registered for the corresponding course and the agreement between the Faculty of Philosophy and the company/institution to carry out the internship has been duly signed.
The total duration of the curricular practices is 150 hours. However, there is also the possibility of extending the duration of the internship. For this reason, a new non-curricular agreement is formalized with the company or institution of a maximum duration of 750 hours. The conditions of this new agreement must be agreed upon by the entity, the Faculty of Philosophy, and the student himself.
Only 15 places are avaiable.
COORDINATION OF INTERNSHIPS

Institution and companies with which agreements have been made.
Below are the institutions or companies with which agreements have been made in recent courses. The centers on the list have signed a collaboration agreement for external internships between the institution or company and the faculty. Completion of the internship at a center is conditional on the existence of this agreement that provides the legal framework for the collaboration and regulates it. On the other hand, it is important to keep in mind that the entities, at the time of making the request, may have sold out places. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that they will always have available places.
There is possibility of adding new centers proposed by the students to this list if the proposal is made with the necessary advance to be able to propose an intersnship program to the center and to be able to formalize the agreements.
PROCEDURE
Between the end of September and the begining of October, the coordinator of the master's degree convokes, using e-mail, an informative meeting intended for all students enrolled in the subject to inform them about the process of the internships.
You can request up to three companies from the list, prioritizing them according to your interest. In addition, it is very important to indicate the areas in which you do not want to do internships. Therefore, the coordination will carry out the allocation of places based on the student's priorization in choosing the requested company/institution, as long as the chosen entity has places and taking into account not awarding entities outside the chosen scope.
Apart from the companies/institutions with which agreements have been made, students can contact other organizations to establish a collaboration agreement, subject to acceptance of the internship coordination.
Agreements can be made with companies or instittutions from any country.
This information must be communicated to the master's practice coordination.
The Student and Teaching Secretariat will contact the student to inform them of the company/institution that has been assigned to them to carry out the internship and they will be provided with contact information for the entity.
Once there is an agreement between the student and the company/institution, the Student and Teaching Secretariat will indicate to the compnay the steps to follow to formalize the ageement and the training project, where issues related to formal aspects will be specified (schedules, tasks to be done....)
The student must have the registration correctly formalized when starting the procedures for the agreeement with the company.
internships cannot begin until the documentation is signed by the student, the center and the institution.
In this link, you will find all the information regarding how to sign up with the Intelligent University Card (TUI)
Students under the age of 28 have compulsory school insurance, included in the payment of the registration fee. Those over the age of 28 must tak out voluntary insurance.
